Matthew Eaton

California-born and London, England raised, artist Matthew Eaton (b. 1974) is an abstract painter influenced primarily by nature and natural phenomenon. His works often reference geological patterns and formations, using methods and materials common to graffiti, graphic design and typography. Eaton's work has been exhibited, and is held in private collections, around the globe. Eaton was a founding partner in art galleries Library Street Collective and Contra Projects in Detroit. In addition, Eaton is the Program Manager of Red Bull Arts Detroit and partner in Uncommon Editions, both also in Detroit.
