Cailyn Dawson

Artist Cailyn Dawson was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1999. Through figurative painting, her work explores issues of identity, specifically how themes of separation and displacement affect racial identity. Cailyn has been creating art since a young age but really found a passion for it in high school.
Cailyn has shown her work at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit Artist Market, and Annex Gallery. She currently resides in metro Detroit and has her bachelor's degree in fine arts from the College for Creative Studies.
