Afterimages
Afterimage is a term from cognitive psychology describing a visual phenomenon in which an impression of an image continues to appear in the eyes after exposure. Afterimages ruminates on this phenomenon, in the context of social relations, considering screens to be a major point of mediation in contemporary life.

JAIME PATTISON
Jaime Pattison has exhibited internationally, including exhibitions in her home city of Toronto Canada, and participation in her first museum exhibition at the Buffalo AKG Art Museum in 2018. Pattison's practice extends to include Afterimages a curatorial project at ArtClvb’s NewLab Detroit location in 2024. Pattison is the recipient of several awards, including the Detroit Society of Women Painters and Sculptors Scholarship in 2020, and the Global Design Graduate Show Award in collaboration with Gucci in 2022. Pattison received her BFA at College for Creative Studies with a minor in Critical Studies. Jaime Pattison lives and works in Detroit, MI.
