Brian Day's New Book 'Detroit From Above' Is Published by Peanut Press

Brian Day has a an impressive body of work that covers various subject matters, but one of the most widely recognized and lauded is his Detroit From Above series.

Peanut Press has just published a book that brings together the incredible images Day has been capturing of his hometown.

This Peanut Portfolio Book includes one signed and numbered original photograph and one signed and numbered hardcover book, 40 pages, 18 black and white plates.

Brian Day is a third generation Detroit native and award winning photographer who has been featured in exhibitions, television, print and online media around the world. He was awarded a Documenting Detroit Fellowship in 2016, and was a recipient of the Michigan Chronicle’s Men of Excellence award in 2017, which recognizes creative and influential personalities making a positive impact on the city of Detroit. In 2020, Day was commissioned by Apple to photograph a feature entitled, Hometown: Detroit.

His acclaimed and award winning series Detroit From Above examines the urban landscape from an aerial perspective. The built environment becomes a concrete tapestry when viewed from above, and familiar landmarks become abstract, revealing the artistry of architecture and civil engineering.
